V&A Hollywood Costume

The V&A's autumn exhibition, 'Hollywood Costume', explores the central role costume design plays in cinema storytelling. Bringing together over 100 of the most iconic movie costumes from across a century of film-making, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the clothes worn by unforgettable and beloved characters such as Dorothy Gale, Indiana Jones, Scarlett O'Hara, Jack Sparrow, Holly Golightly and Darth Vader.

Stretching across three rooms and featuring more than 100 exhibits, Hollywood Costume reveals the painstaking work behind some of cinema's most iconic costume designs.

The exhibition runs till 27 Jan. 2013 at V&A Museum in London.

These are the images from the irreverent, innovative and striking campaign by Diesel created by Steven Meisel  for the Autumn/Winter 2012-13 Screen Test project.
Models like Karen Elson, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Jamie Bochart, Fei Fei Sun, Coco Rocha, Mirte Maas, Sid Ellisdon, Ethan James, Yuri Pleskun, Sallieu Jalloh and Dae Na have been asked to express their individuality as if they were at an audition. Taken in sequence, the photos become almost short videos showcasing the range of different personalities – with an eye towards Diesel’s now famous Portraits for successful living.

YSL Manifesto

Manifesto is the new women's perfume from Yves Saint Laurent. Described as spontaneous and free spirited, a scent full of passion and emotion.

The face of the perfume is actress Jessica Chastain, who declared: "Yves Saint Laurent is a brand that inspires me deeply. Since its creation, the brand has conveyed strong values that I cherish, such as unwavering commitment, absolute love and feminine audacity. The new fragrance is an emblem of it all." The composition starts off with fresh green wave, bergamot and black currant. The heart includes accords of white flowers such as Sambac jasmine and lily of the valley. The base is woody and slightly oriental and captures notes of cedar, sandalwood, vanilla and tonka bean.

The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum.
