Marimekko is a Finnish design house renowned for its original prints and colours since 1951.

The company designs and manufactures high-quality clothing, interior decoration textiles, bags and other accessories. The name Marimekko is a play on words. ‘Mari’ is an anagram of the founder’s first name, Armi Ratia, while ‘mekko’ means ‘dress’ in Finnish. And it was indeed Mari’s dresses that started it all in 1951.
