GLIMPSE AT PHOTO VOGUE

25 photographers from the fields of reportage, art and fashion showcase their best works in a big exhibition at Galleria Carla Sozzani. It's the second edition of "A Glimpse at Photo Vogue" the art platform promoting inspirational photography from around the world.

Until 31st December 2013 the International City for Lace and Fashion in Calais will be devoting its next exhibition to Iris van Herpen.

Iris van Herpen, a young Dutch creator, has well and truly burst upon the scene of Haute-Couture. In the wake of Martin Margiela, Hussein Chalayan and Rei Kawakubo, her sculptural, innovative dresses play a full part in the vitality of a conceptual style that questions the creative process and the interaction between the garment and the person who wears it. By exhibiting some thirty pieces made between 2008 and 2012, the International City of Lace and Fashion invites visitors to venture into the avant-garde world of this talented young fashion designer.

Its sculptural forms, enriched with shimmering and volumes with pronounced effects, places it halfway between Haute-Couture and contemporary art.

Dior celebrates its connections with the world of art. And this time it's the impressionist period the protagonist of the exhibition "Impression Dior" at the Musée Christian Dior Granville  till September 22, 2013. The exhibition will be accompanied by a book-catalogue published by Rizzoli-New York of 152 pages. To view the first haute couture creations of monsieur Christian Dior and those of his successors that have been matched to the masterpieces of nineteenth-century period, to tell as the couturier and designers who drove la maison have reinterpreted the masterpieces by masters such as Cezanne, Degas, Monet, Manet, Renoir and Seurat.
